What it does
Pairing code, not an application password
You paste a one-time code in Settings → BenchWrite and the site keeps its own token, sent on its own header. Hosts that strip the Authorization header still work.
Images land in your media library
Every illustration is sideloaded into WordPress with its file name, alt text and caption, and the first image is set as the featured image.
Post fields filled in properly
Title, body, excerpt, slug, categories and tags by name, plus SEO title and description for Yoast, Rank Math or SEOPress when one of them is active.
Works behind a firewall
If BenchWrite cannot reach your site, the plugin pulls waiting articles every five minutes through WP-Cron instead.
Publish or hold as a draft
Send straight to published, or drop the article in as a draft and read it in your own editor first.
Nothing read from your site
No posts, users, comments or orders are read or transmitted. Only the site address and name, versions, capability flags, and the post ID after a publish.

Install the plugin on your WordPress site and activate it.

In BenchWrite, open Brand Blueprint → Integrations and generate a pairing code.

Paste the code in Settings → BenchWrite and press Connect.

Write in BenchWrite, then press Publish. The article appears on your site.

The plugin is free. What you pay for is the writing: one credit is the unit of work and a balanced, fact-audited article costs ten. Every plan resets to its allowance each billing period, with no rollover.

Plans renew automatically until cancelled, and cancelling keeps access to the end of the period you have paid for. Upgrades and downgrades take effect at your next renewal.
Questions about the plugin
- Does the plugin cost anything?
- No. The plugin is free and GPLv2 or later. It delivers articles from a BenchWrite account, and BenchWrite has a free tier, so you can install it and publish without paying anything.
- Do I need an account to install it?
- An account is needed to use it, not to install or activate it. Without a paired account the plugin simply sits idle.
- Which WordPress versions does it support?
- WordPress 5.6 and later, tested up to 7.1, on PHP 7.4 and later.
- Does it work on WordPress.com?
- Plugins cannot be installed on lower WordPress.com plans. Those sites publish through the standard REST method with an application password instead.
- What happens if I delete the plugin?
- Its settings, token and scheduled check-in are removed from your site. Your posts and images stay where they are.
